Review by hotel critic
As an Italian with a keen eye for the intertwining of history and modern luxury, my recent stay at Westin was a mixed bag of impressions. The central location, a mere 10-minute stroll to Duomo, was undoubtedly a highlight for exploring Milan. The room offered was spacious and comfortable, a nod to Italian hospitality. However, while the staff at the reception desk were gracious, the service throughout failed to meet expectations.Regrettably, the room I initially received was lackluster, with outdated furnishings that seemed more museum-worthy than inviting. The TV's malfunction added to the disappointment. This experience contrasted sharply with my previous stays, where the value proposition was more aligned with the luxury promised. Moreover, the lackluster response to a critical issue with the luggage service tarnished the overall experience. The indifference displayed in handling such a significant inconvenience was far from the Italian standard of hospitality I expected. In conclusion, while Westin boasts a desirable location and some elements of comfort, the balance between cost and luxury seemed askew during my stay. For those considering a stay, it may be prudent to weigh the value proposition carefully before committing to Westin in Milan. Luca, from Florence.
